Hall of Hail
Inspired by Shogun's title sequence by FX and Themes and Variations by Ziye Liu, Hall of Hail is a title sequence developed for my senior thesis at SCAD to practice environment storytelling, with a focus using color and lighting to establish mood. Main programs used include Maya, Substance Painter, Houdini, Nuke, and Autodesk Sketchbook.
Thank you to Professor Joe Pasquale for his constant support in the creation of Hall of Hail.

Concept Development

Being set in an unspecified, fictional location permitted flexibility with designs of the Hall of Hail kingdom, but designs were still heavily influenced by medieval Celtic and Norse cultures to provide a basis in reality and guidelines for a cohesive style. Concept art and real-world references were used as to ensure models had a cohesive style.
